Who "ya" gonna believe? Vaccine Update

Program Learning Objectives:
- 1. Outline historic impact of immunizations on global & US morbidity, mortality, and estimated economic outcomes
- 2. Describe & county mis- & disinformation being used to attack the current recommendations for immunization in the US, with specific reference to SARS-CoV-2 mRNA vaccines
- 3. Outline the ethical and public health argument that supports consideration of selected vaccine mandates
Event FREE for all members
This event is free for all members of the Scott County Medical Society and includes a plated dinner. Members may bring one additional guest of their choosing at no charge. Physicians who are not members of the medical society are welcome to attend for a fee of $45.

Target Audience: Physicians, advance practice providers, and clinical care team partners.
Purpose: To educate attendees on how immunizations have historically impacted the US and how to address current mis- and disinformation.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Iowa Medical Society through the joint sponsorship of Scott County Medical Society and Midwest Cardiovascular Research Foundation.
